Whilst we all look forward to the temperature change as Spring approaches, the downside is that certain dormant or hibernating pests become active again.
Here’s our top four to watch out for:
- Queen wasps
All four survive the low temperatures of winter by finding shelter or burrowing and as soon as they sense the temperature increase, become active again.
In the case of the queen wasp, she flies off to find a new nesting place where she will lay some eggs, which often confuses people as they cannot understand why they are seeing wasps again so early.
If any of these have become active in your home and are causing a problem, please contact us and we will be around promptly.
